Spyros Papageorgiou

Senior Investment Analyst

Spyros has over 13 years’ experience in asset management as an investment and financial analyst.

Prior to joining Glafka Capital, he spent 3 years as investment banking analyst in the Task Force Department of Piraeus Bank. During his tenure in Piraeus Bank, he engaged in Debt restructuring projects and securitization of shipping loans. He was also employed by Piraeus Equity Partners as a Venture Capital analyst in PJ Tech Catalyst Fund.

He has also worked for 10 years in hedge fund business as a shipping market & investment analyst for Nautilia asset management, as an equity analyst for Neutron asset management, which is active in energy sector and as a Buy-side analyst & portfolio manager in Orasis Greek Opportunities Fund, focused on` public and private investments in Greece.

Spyros holds a BA in Business Administration and an M.Sc. in International Shipping, Finance & Management from Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB).

Matthew Rae

Compliance Officer 

Matthew commenced his career in compliance in 2000 when he joined compliance consultancy, The CCL Partnership, where he advised a wide range of firms in respect of financial services regulation in the U.K. After four years at The CCL Partnership he joined the Stenham Group where for ten years he was Head of Compliance for several investment divisions within the Stenham Group, ranging from fund-of-funds to property investment through to high-net worth investment advisory. After leaving Stenham he went on to join a multi-strategy asset manager before joining Italian investment house, Kairos, as Head of Compliance for their UK investment arm. After Kairos and spending some time travelling, he joined Lindengrove Capital in London, building out their compliance function. He has a degree in Economics from the University of Strathclyde and a postgraduate diploma in International Trade Policy from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. Matthew has an interest in the increasing overlap between compliance and cyber security and to enhance his knowledge in that area in 2020 took and passed an exam in ‘Managing Cyber Security’ offered by the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Nikolaos Skarlatos

Fund Manager Digital Asset Group 

Nikolaos is an experienced buy side market participant with a demonstrated track record in investment management and derivatives marker making and trading. His 14 years of institutional experience in high volatility markets and instruments coupled with his City Business School MSc in Investment Management and many professional qualifications from the Greek Capital market commission, give him the ideal profile to ensure the reliable execution of Firm’s strategy and vision.  He has been active in digital currencies research with a much acclaimed digital assets-valuation analysis published on Medium. Additionally, Nikolaos got involved with the ICO of Parkgene LTD in Singapore in 2017 and then as co-founder of a digital banking fintech startup Excelon Exchange OU in Estonia in which he remains a shareholder. Nikolas designs, develops tests and manages the quantitative strategies to be implemented.

Dimitris Hatzisarros

Fund Manager Digital Asset Group

Dimitris has made private equity investments over the last 20 year, having established an equity research function and advised corporate clients. As the CEO and executive director of the Board of a regulated full service brokerage and investment banking firm, Dimitris has accumulated extensive understanding in governance, regulatory compliance and risk management. He has been extensively active in the digital assets space via his participation in a next generation integrated digital bank where he led finance, regulation, risk and compliance. He has postgraduate studies in electrical and computer engineering and for several years designed telecommunications software for Ericsson and Nokia before turning to finance. He holds an MBA from Manchester Business School.
